The Table of Popular Names is a list of common names for legislative acts. Where possible, Popular Names has been linked to a relevant section of the U.S. Code. However, often a given legislative act is codified in many different Titles. In such cases, the entry has been left in the Table, for reference purposes, but a Title has not been linked to the entry.
The "Parts" listed below are not included in the original text of the U.S. Code. They are provided for the WWW-reader's convenience.
Popular Names are listed in alphabetical order. Thus, to find a given Popular Name, simply click on the Part which includes the entry in which you are interested. (Note: Numbers are to be spelled out. Thus, "1981" would be listed under "Nineteen....")
If you know the citation for the US Code material you want to find, fill in the title and section numbers below. (eg. 22 USC 1501 would be Title 22, Section 1501). You need to fill in both title and section.
